Find Lumpkin County Traffic Tickets

Start with the court named on your Lumpkin County traffic ticket. That name decides everything. Two courts split the work here: Probate Court takes county misdemeanor traffic cases, while Dahlonega Municipal Court handles tickets written under city ordinances. Some citations can be looked up online, though coverage depends on the court. The issuing court still holds the real answers, so check with it for your court date, whether you must appear, and any certified copy of the file. Before you pay anything, match the citation to the right court first. Then confirm any reset date or required appearance with that court directly rather than trusting a third-party site.

Lumpkin County Traffic Court Records

Where a traffic case lives depends on two things. One is which agency wrote the ticket. The other is which court is printed on it. Lumpkin County Probate Court handles misdemeanor traffic violations, including DUI, plus game and fish violations. Dahlonega Municipal Court takes traffic matters and city ordinance cases. Neither one substitutes for a full Superior Court case search.

What can a court traffic record tell you? The citation, the charge, the plea, and the setting all appear. So do the disposition, the fine, and the docket events the court itself recorded. EZCourtPay can find eligible ticket-payment information. But that public form is not a complete traffic docket. When you need a filed order, a payment receipt, a disposition, or a certified copy, ask the court that owns the case.

The Probate Court page posts the county court's traffic contact and payment information.

For a county citation, the Probate page is the right first stop. A city citation belongs with Dahlonega's municipal clerk instead.

Lumpkin County Probate Traffic Route

Got a county traffic ticket in Lumpkin County? Probate Court handles it. Call 706-864-3847 or come to Room 122 at 325 Riley Road in Dahlonega. The court's own traffic instructions lay out how to pay. They also cover when to show up and what each option means for your case.

Paying in person works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., if the charge is eligible. Bring a certified check, money order, cash, or a card. Credit and debit payments carry a processing fee. To pay by mail, send a certified check or money order to Lumpkin County Probate Court, 325 Riley Road, Room 122, Dahlonega, GA 30533.

One warning worth heeding: not every charge can simply be paid. EZCourtPay online payment is open only for offenses that carry no mandatory appearance. If you want to contest the citation, you appear on your court date instead of paying. And when the charge requires an appearance, showing up is not optional. That holds no matter what the docket entry says.

Looking Up a Traffic Ticket

The court printed on the ticket comes first. EZCourtPay covers eligible payment lookups for both Probate and Dahlonega, and the Probate counter or the city clerk is the direct fallback when a search returns nothing. Georgia Courts runs no single statewide traffic-docket search. DDS does not hold the court file either.

  1. Read the citation for the issuing court, citation number, court date, and appearance instruction.
  2. For an eligible online ticket, open EZCourtPay and enter the required identifying fields.
  3. If the ticket is county Probate, call 706-864-3847 or use the Room 122 counter; mail is available for eligible Probate payments.
  4. If the ticket is Dahlonega Municipal, call the clerk at 706-482-2720 or deputy clerk at 706-482-2701, or visit City Hall.
  5. Ask the issuing court to confirm the setting, payment eligibility, current balance, disposition, and copy procedure.

There is no public bulk search, export, subscription, email request, or fax channel for these traffic dockets. The issuing court's phone or counter remains the dependable route.

Lumpkin County EZCourtPay Fields

The EZCourtPay public form asks for three things. You enter a valid date of birth plus either a citation number or a last name. Those two fields are alternatives, and no state or county selector appears before you submit.

FieldRequirementUse
Date of BirthRequiredEnter a valid date to validate the ticket search.
Citation NumberOne of two alternativesUse the exact identifier printed on the ticket.
Last NameOne of two alternativesUse when the citation number is unavailable.

The assigned EZCourtPay interface image provides a visual check of those fields.

A failed lookup can mean several things. The ticket may not be loaded yet, may require an appearance, or may belong to a different court. It does not mean the citation was dismissed.

How to Find Your Traffic Court Date

Rely on the actual citation and whatever notice the issuing court sent you. The county Main Calendar lists general events. It is not a judge-by-judge database of traffic settings. Dahlonega Municipal Court meets monthly. But the city posts no public docket calendar, so confirm the session with the city clerk.

Enter the citation number exactly as printed, as with citation number on ticket. Lumpkin County publishes no local citation-number format, so copy it straight off the ticket. And remember: a date in a payment portal is not automatically your required appearance time.

DateThe date printed on the citation or supplied in a later court notice.
TimeThe appearance or calendar-call time confirmed by the issuing court.
CourtLumpkin Probate Court or Dahlonega Municipal Court, as printed on the citation.
LocationThe court address or room stated on the citation or current notice.
Setting typeAppearance, plea, trial, or other court-designated proceeding.

If the court reset a setting, get the new date from the clerk. A past event display or an old calendar item proves nothing about what is scheduled now.

Lumpkin County Dahlonega Ticket Timing

Dahlonega's official payment page tells drivers to wait seven to ten business days after a citation. Only then should they try paying online. That gap is just an upload window. It does not extend any court deadline. If the ticket still does not appear after that interval, call the municipal clerk. Do not keep tweaking the search over and over.

For a non-mandatory charge, the city allows payment before court. Skip the appearance, and payment must reach the clerk by 8:30 a.m. on the court date. There it counts as a guilty plea. Signing the city citation acknowledges receipt and agrees to pay or appear. The city notes the signature alone admits no guilt.

Lumpkin County Municipal Ticket Split

Ticket routing in Lumpkin County changes at the city line. A citation assigned to Dahlonega Municipal Court stays with the city clerk, while a county citation assigned to Probate Court stays with Room 122. Both courts may use EZCourtPay for eligible payments. The shared vendor never merges the two court files, though.

Check the court name before calling, mailing a payment, or requesting a disposition. The municipal clerk answers Dahlonega case questions; Probate Court answers county misdemeanor traffic questions. Neither office certifies the other court's record.

Pay or Contest a Ticket

Paying a ticket and fighting it are two different paths through the same case. In Probate Court, an eligible non-mandatory citation can be paid online, at the counter, or by the published mail method. Contest it and you must show up on your court date instead. Dahlonega works its own way. A nolo or not-guilty plea means appearing in person. The city says a not-guilty plea resets the matter for trial.

Failure to appear: Lumpkin Probate warns that a bench warrant may issue when a mandatory appearance is missed. Dahlonega says an FTA license release requires paying at the clerk, receiving a new date, and submitting the DPS912 release to DDS; payment alone does not clear the license.

Before anything else, confirm which court entered the failure-to-appear action and what that court wants from you. DDS matters only for the Dahlonega release step. It never replaces the city court record itself.

Lumpkin County Citation and Case Record

A citation number is a search key. It is not the whole traffic case. The citation records the alleged violation and tells the person to pay or appear. What the court actually records can go much further: a plea, a calendar event, a proceeding, a disposition, and payment or sentencing details all land in the case file.

Citation
The issued ticket and its identifying number, charge, court, and response instruction.
Calendar event
A scheduled court event that should be checked against the actual notice.
Disposition
The court-recorded outcome, which is distinct from the original allegation.
Payment receipt
Proof of a payment transaction, not necessarily the full case file.
Certified record
A copy formally authenticated by the clerk of the issuing court.

Ask the clerk for the exact document you need. A payment result can never stand in for a certified disposition, and a ticket search does not promise access to every docket document.

Lumpkin County FTA Record Steps

A failure-to-appear creates several records. Do not confuse them. There is the original citation. There is also the municipal docket entry, a payment receipt, and the new court-date notice. The DPS912 release is the last piece, used with DDS. Dahlonega documents the local release sequence step by step. Probate warns that a bench warrant may issue after a missed mandatory appearance.

Ask the issuing court which event was entered and what is still outstanding. Keep every clerk-issued document. An online payment result alone does not prove that each court or DDS step is complete.

Traffic Court Record vs Driving Record

Two files, two custodians. The court traffic record and the Georgia DDS driver record are separate systems. The court record answers what happened in a particular citation case. The DDS record belongs to the state licensing system. DDS only comes up here for one reason. Dahlonega's failure-to-appear release procedure calls for a DPS912 form after the city clerk supplies a new date.

A court lookup cannot answer DDS questions, and a DDS step cannot produce the court's official case record. Keep the two requests separate.

Lumpkin County Traffic Copy Channels

A traffic file behind an EZCourtPay result stays with the issuing court. For a Probate matter, ask Probate Court for the docket, a disposition, an ordinary copy, or a certified copy. For a Dahlonega matter, go through the municipal clerk at City Hall. The city publishes no official municipal mail, fax, email, drop-box, or public docket API. It does post clerk email contacts for direct communication.

Be specific when you request. Name the court, the citation number, the document title, the date, and whether you need an ordinary or certified record. Confirm access and the total charge before sending any payment. Sealed or restricted material may take a different procedure. A public ticket-payment view never overrides a court restriction.

PeachCourt is the named Superior Court route. It is not the first stop for the local Probate and municipal traffic cases described here. When the citation names another court, follow that name. Do not default to the general county docket portal.

Copies and Fees

Lumpkin Probate's 2025 fee schedule holds the published local copy figures for Probate records. An ordinary copy runs $1.00 per page. A certified copy costs $10.00. An exemplified copy costs $15.00. Treat these as Probate figures only. They are not Dahlonega Municipal fees.

Fine amounts and copy fees answer different questions. Ask the court to break out the ticket balance, the processing charge, the copying cost, and the certification charge.
